**About the role**
The National FLeet Manager is responsible for overseeing the health and well being of Splend Fleet in Australia. You would own the function and give daily support to our amazing Fleet Services team enabling them to succeed in their roles. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an organisation actively transitioning to a greener future.
**Key Responsibilities & Duties**:
- Procurement and Purchasing: Head up the responsibilities of working with manufactures and dealers to source and price vehicles.
- Manage the maintenance, repair, replacement and logistics of our fleet
- Responsible for the acquisition and disposal of company vehicle fleet and parts
- Regularly review and update vehicle fleet related policies
- Work with Member Operations team to ensure vehicle utilisation rates are of a suitable standard
- Monitor and enforce all vehicle operation policies and systems Conduct analysis of vehicle status and make recommendations for timely replacement, to improve cost efficiency inline with market trend
- Coordinate the transfer of vehicles between Splend's location
- Manage, guide and mentor team to ensure weekly/monthly/annual targets are met and in line with organisational goals Conduct monthly feedback discussions with all direct reports to discuss performance, operations and encourage innovative thinking
- Modeling of whole of life vehicle costs
- Warranty claims on vehicles
**Required Skills and Experience**:
- 5+ Years industry or related industry experience
- Extensive Fleet Procurement and Purchasing experience in working with Manufacturers and Dealers
- Team management experience. Ability to effectively generate results from your reports
- Have a working knowledge of vehicle mechanics and vehicle repair
- Strong strategic and analytical skills with advanced data processing abilities
- Ability to analyse data and preparing thorough reports and documentation eg: fleet capital and operating expenditure progress reports
- Have a clear understanding of the rules and regulations of motor carrier safety
- Be able to multi-task and think on your feet
