Finance Manager
Senior Finance Leadership | Not?for?Profit & Community Services Sector
Elliott Gray is partnering with a respected not?for?profit organisation in the community services sector to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to a newly structured senior role.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this position represents the most senior internal finance role within the organisation. As such, it requires a finance professional who combines strong technical capability with commercial judgement and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders, including Board members.
The Opportunity
This is a high?impact role within a mission?driven organisation providing essential services to the community. You will work closely with the executive leadership team, offering financial insight that supports good governance, funding sustainability and informed decision?making.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading the organisation’s end?to?end financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and statutory reporting
* Preparing clear, accurate and insightful financial reports for the Executive Team and Board, and confidently presenting financial information to senior audiences
* Extracting, analysing and reconciling data from CRM and accounting systems to support reporting, analysis and funding requirements
* Maintaining strong financial controls, compliance and audit processes
* Supporting contract management, funding acquittals and reporting obligations typical of complex not?for?profit environments
* Acting as a trusted financial partner to senior leaders, contributing commercially and strategically
About You
You are comfortable operating at a senior level, thrive in role with visibility and influence, and value working in organisations with a strong purpose.
We’re keen to speak with candidates who offer:
* Demonstrated success in a senior finance role, ideally within the not?for?profit, community services, health or human services sector
* Strong experience pulling and interpreting data from CRM and accounting platforms
* Proven ability to communicate complex financial information to non?financial audiences, including Executives and Boards
* CPA or CA qualification preferred, however candidates with a compelling track record in similar organisations will be strongly considered
* A collaborative, pragmatic approach and alignment with values?led work
