About the role
As our General Counsel, you'll lead RACGP's legal strategy and team, managing internal and external advisers to deliver practical and commercially astute advice. Reporting to the Chief Financial & Corporate Services Officer and working closely with the Board, ELT and senior leaders, you'll shape governance, strengthen compliance and guide risk management to enable confident decisions that advance the RACGP's mission and support our members.
As our General Counsel, you'll also:
Lead and inspire a high-performing legal team, building future capability and talent.
Oversee effective management of litigation, disputes and external counsel.
Provide expert advice on complex legal and regulatory matters across the College.
Create practical frameworks, policies and training to strengthen organisational capability.
Skills & Experience
Proven Legal leadership experience at an executive-level
Strong track record in governance and compliance
Skilled in managing disputes and external advisers
Ability to build capability and influence senior leaders
