Operator Development Specialist
In partnership with a global iron ore leader, we are seeking an experienced mining equipment trainer to join our team as an embedded resource on site in the Pilbara. This role places you at the center of workforce development strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with site training teams to identify workforce needs and deliver targeted development plans.
* Assess operator performance using proven methodology, ensuring accurate, fair and transparent coaching.
* Use simulation and in-cab coaching to build operator competence, demonstrating commitment to safe and sustainable skill development.
* Leverage data, analytics and technology-driven insights to improve training effectiveness and validate improvement.
* Build strong relationships across site, becoming a trusted contributor recognized as part of the training team.
Requirements:
* Experience in in-pit operating roles and knowledge of mining equipment operations.
* Proven track record in developing operators along their learning curve safely, consistently, and sustainably.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
