About the Position:
You will work on a strong mix of public liability and recoveries files, collaborating closely with senior lawyers and partners across states. The role is designed for those who value flexibility and want to contribute to complex litigation while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage public liability and recoveries files from start to finish with autonomy
* Draft legal advice and provide insights on liability, strategy, and claim value
* Appear at mediations, hearings, and work closely with counsel and independent experts
* Support junior lawyers and participate in knowledge sharing across the national team
* Collaborate on cross-office matters with an emphasis on open communication and teamwork
Key Requirements:
* Admitted Lawyer with at least 4 years PAE in insurance, litigation, or recovery claims (private practice)
* Practising certificate for Queensland (or eligibility to obtain one)
* Ability to manage time and priorities in a flexible working environment
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-first mindset
* Previous experience with plaintiff or defendant recovery matters will be well regarded
