**The opportunity**
Join us as a key contributor in the role of Health Insight Specialist to provide practical, evidence-informed insights and guidance about health and care to positively impact decision making at Bupa enabling our customers to have better healthcare experiences.
Day-to-day, the health insight specialists team use their health knowledge to ensure that Bupa provides accurate and helpful health content that supports our goal of focusing on customers' health needs. They stay updated on the latest health research and insights, using this knowledge to help Bupa make decisions with a health perspective and offer insight on health matters for Bupa's daily operations. They also work with internal teams to help make sure health services delivered to our customers are safe and of good quality.

- This is a permanent full-time position based in our Melbourne or Sydney offices. (Bupa offers hybrid working and you can work from the office or at home in discussion with your manager about your team's needs.)_
**You'll add value by**
- Review health content and initiatives across the business for clinical effectiveness and appropriateness, ensuring claims can be substantiated, and verifying that source information has been correctly interpreted/ represented, in line with Bupa's standards.
- Translate and promote complex health/clinical concepts, drawing on health expertise and customer insights, to assist stakeholders in developing and/or leveraging engaging, customer-centred health content, resources, tools and programs that support Bupa's purpose, values and strategic activities.
- Support delivery of activities to help the business meet the requirements of the enterprise clinical governance policy.
- Carry out clinical horizon scanning by keeping abreast of current evidence, relevant customer insights, and best practice, translating quality research findings into practical knowledge and insights that internal stakeholders can use to make informed decisions with a clinical bent
- Providing clinical advisory and manage clinical content that supports operational processes for the HI business

**What do I need?**
To excel in this role, we are seeking professionals with tertiary qualifications in health such as a clinical degree, or in health management or health communications. An essential attribute is a demonstrated understanding of Australia's private and public health systems, ideally gained through experience in the health/medical field.
**In addition, key skills include -**
- The ability to critically appraise research evidence and transform it into compelling and reliable content solutions
- A solid grasp of medical language, human biology, and clinical research's role in healthcare
- An ability to effectively translate complex information for diverse audiences, particularly strong health-related writing skills
- Proficiency in building and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships
- Creatively problem-solve for customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
