We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Senior Educator – AMEP to play a pivotal leadership role within our Centre for Foundational Studies. This is more than a teaching position — it’s an opportunity to shape educational excellence, drive compliance and quality, and lead a passionate team dedicated to empowering students through the Adult Migrant Education Program (AMEP).

About the Role
As Senior Educator, you will provide vision, direction and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant and student-centred AMEP programs. You will:
* Lead and coordinate a team of educators to deliver engaging and responsive English language programs.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements governing AMEP delivery.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic policy, advice and analysis to support Centre activities
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with student needs and service excellence
* Oversee operational and business planning, ensuring delivery within budget.
* Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across faculties, marketing, operations and compliance.
* You will be at the forefront of educational innovation, ensuring that our programs respond to the evolving needs of students while maintaining the highest standards of governance and quality.
About You
You are a confident educational leader with deep expertise in AMEP delivery and a strong understanding of the broader migrant education landscape. To be successful, you will bring:
* Demonstrated success managing educational activities and coordinating teaching teams within AMEP.
* Strong knowledge of the AMEP context and the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF), particularly in initial assessment and class placement.
* Experience developing and implementing education-based business and operational plans.
* Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver outcomes within a business unit.
* Experience liaising with diverse university stakeholders.
* A strong understanding of the needs of AMEP participants — including students, educators and course areas.
* The capacity to lead change, inspire teams and drive service excellence.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
* Australian Qualifications Framework level 5 qualification.
* Qualification within an education or teaching context.
Although not essential, a qualification or experience equivalent to an Australian post-graduate award in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) would be advantageous.
