Join Seymour Whyte for the Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N) Upgrade Project, a major civil infrastructure project being delivered as a joint venture with John Holland and focused on enhancing the rail transport network between Beerburrum and Nambour on the Sunshine Coast. Once completed, B2N will improve the North Coast Line, making travel faster and better connecting the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and Brisbane.
Key Dates & Duration
* Following enabling and early works, major construction works have commenced.
* The main construction phase is expected to last around two to three years, with completion scheduled for late 2027 (subject to conditions).
What The Project Involves
* Rail Duplication: The core of the project is the delivery of a new, dual‐track rail line between Beerburrum and Nambour.
* Infrastructure Upgrades: This will also involve associated infrastructure improvements, potentially including the construction of new stations and upgrading existing ones.

About The Role
We are seeking a Site Engineer, ideally with experience in overhead wiring, to join our rail infrastructure team. In this role, you will supervise and coordinate multi‐disciplinary works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Supervising on‐site works and coordinating with subcontractors and other disciplines to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Ensuring compliance with network safeworking standards, network specifications and project requirements.
* Monitoring quality of work, conducting inspections and maintaining technical documentation.
* Overseeing daily field operations, including team supervision, productivity tracking, cost control, and estimating.
* Supporting and ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards on site.
* Monitoring construction progress and ensuring compliance against method statements and ITPs.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
* Proven construction experience; overhead wiring experience will be highly regarded.
* Knowledge of safety legislation, Australian Standards and industry codes.
* Strong planning, monitoring and reporting capabilities to support effective project delivery.
* Commitment to quality, safety and environmental practices.
* Valid driver's licence and own transport for regional project sites.
