A prominent Federal Government agency is seeking multiple Junior Actuaries to support a major national initiative focused on delivering high-quality data analysis, performance monitoring, and actuarial modelling. These critical roles contribute to essential reporting and scheme development activities. The successful Junior Actuaries will be engaged on an initial 12-month contract, with a further 12-month extension, and flexible hybrid work arrangements across multiple states.
The successful Junior Actuaries will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Extracting, cleansing, and preparing data from various sources, particularly data warehouses
- Updating and developing regular performance monitoring outputs
- Supporting statutory reporting requirements through data analysis and reporting
- Applying statistical and mathematical modelling techniques for monitoring, tabulations, and project analysis
- Conducting ad hoc modelling and producing reports
- Communicating progress and outcomes effectively to internal stakeholders
The successful Junior Actuaries will have experience in the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics
- Progression toward Associate and/or Fellowship qualifications (Actuarial Education Part I and progress with Part II)
- 2–4 years of actuarial or analytical experience
- Strong skills in statistical modelling and data preparation
- Excellent verbal and written communication
