Brightstar Resources ( ASX: BTR ) owns and operates the established Second Fortune Gold Mine and the newly launched Fish Mine in the Laverton Goldfields region of Western Australia. As part of our expansion, we have created a position in our Subiaco head office for a Commercial Manager .
Role Overview
In this role, you will establish and lead the commercial function for Brightstar, driving strategies and initiatives across:
1. Contract Management: Negotiate, draft, and oversee contracts with suppliers, contractors, and clients.
2. Procurement & Supply Chain: Oversee procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely, cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
3. Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, analyze project costs and profitability, and report on financial performance.
4. Risk & Compliance Management: Identify and mitigate commercial and operational risks, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with internal teams and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as vendors, partners, and regulators.
Qualifications & Skills
You should hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (business, finance, law, etc.) and possess significant experience in commercial and/or procurement roles within mining or similar heavy industries. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, with strong communication skills, capable of designing and executing strategies for the commercial function.
