About the Ngaanyatjarra Council
The Ngaanyatjarra Lands are managed by the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group, a wholly community-led entity representing the interests of Traditional Owners (Yarnangu) who reside across 11 communities in central and Goldfields WA. Each community is autonomous and separately incorporated.
Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) employs over 450 people and provides a wide range of services including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, retail, art centres, and land management. We are one of Australia's largest and most successful Indigenous organisations.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber to join our Essential Services team, working across Warburton and surrounding remote communities in Western Australia on a 15 days on / 13 days off roster.
This role is responsible for delivering planned, preventative and reactive maintenance to essential infrastructure, including potable water, wastewater and related systems. The position plays a key role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of essential services for remote Aboriginal communities.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
* Plumbing repairs, maintenance and installations as required
* Planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance, including emergency call-outs
* Servicing, fault-finding and upgrades of:
* Pneumatic and solar-powered bore systems
* Telemetric control systems
* Water transfer, storage and treatment systems
* Wastewater and effluent systems
* RO, chlorination and UV disinfection systems
* Operation of plant, equipment and machinery within competency
* Accurate reporting of work completed, materials used, asset condition and SHQE requirements
* Working respectfully and collaboratively within community environments
* Assisting with other duties as directed to support the effective operation of Essential Services
About You
You are a trade-qualified Plumber with strong technical skills and the ability to work autonomously in remote and challenging environments. You are safety-focused, adaptable, and comfortable travelling between communities while maintaining professional and respectful working relationships.
* Australian recognised Plumbing Trade Qualification
* Current WA Plumbing Licence
* Current First Aid certificate
* Sound knowledge of plumbing, pumping and pipework systems
* Ability to operate plant and equipment where competent
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Physically capable of working in hot, remote conditions
* Desirable (but not essential):
* Crane or Hiab ticket
* EWPO licence
* Confined Space Entry
* Excavator or relevant plant tickets
