Job Description
As a Quality Engineering Specialist, you will play a key role in championing and ensuring the utilisation of best quality engineering technologies and practices. This includes setting clear expectations and processes with product owners and engineers to prioritise quality and automation.
The successful candidate will be hands-on in developing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring applications are reliable and aligned with business and solution requirements.
* Develop detailed test plans and test cases based on business requirements, functional specs, and design documents
* Execute tests to validate functionality, including regression testing for system stability
* Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation (test plans, test cases, results)
* Identify, document, and report defects; track resolution via Azure DevOps
* Manage and drive defects and blockers to resolution in a timely manner
* Analyse and recommend test tools and automation solutions
* Implement and uphold efficient testing processes and quality standards
* Participate in code reviews and define quality gates
* Collaborate with client teams for integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
* Identify opportunities for test automation
* Design and implement automation frameworks and strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience developing detailed test plans and executing functional, regression, and integration tests
* Proven ability to identify, track, and manage defects using test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
* Experience in maintaining end-to-end test documentation
* Strong analytical skills to assess automation feasibility and drive automation strategy
* Experience designing and implementing automation frameworks and tools
* Familiarity with code review processes and setting quality gates
* Ability to collaborate across teams and coordinate client-side testing (e.g. UAT)
* Sound knowledge of quality standards, continuous improvement practices, and QE methodologies
* Strong communication and documentation skills, with attention to detail
* Flexibility to work in a managed services environment, including shift work, on-call rotations, and after-hours deployments as needed
