About The Role
Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Administration Officer to work on a full-time basis over 7 days on a rotating roster. This will be in general admin covering – Front Desk, Theatre Bookings, Pre-Admissions & Admissions. This is a busy role where are you are the first point of contact for our patients, visitors and staff, you should love working in a dynamic role meeting and greeting, managing phones and completing administrative work.

With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.

Your Duties Will Include
This opportunity will see you join our team as an all-rounder to assist where required, your duties will vary day to day and may include:
Manage a busy reception desk
Answer and redirect calls
Prepare admission paperwork
Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
Perform Health Fund Checks as required
Manage the collection of excesses/co-payments
Coordinate with staff from other departments
Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry
Essential Criteria
Previous reception/administration experience
Prior experience in the health industry would be advantageous
Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Experience working with patient management system (Desirable)
