About the role
As a Trainee Travel Specialist with Helloworld Travel Hobart, you will play a key support role within our experienced team while receiving comprehensive training and mentorship. This position is designed to develop your skills and confidence as you learn the foundations of the travel industry.
Working closely with our small team, you'll assist in the preparation and coordination of travel arrangements while gaining hands-on experience in research, client service, marketing, and operations.
What You'll Be Doing
* Supporting Travel Specialists with research and itinerary preparation
* Assisting with sourcing flights, accommodation, tours, cruises, and travel experiences
* Preparing quotes and documentation for review by senior consultants
* Coordinating booking confirmations and supplier communications under supervision
* Maintaining accurate client records and managing administrative tasks
* Assisting with social media content creation, including destination features, promotions, and client travel highlights
* Helping maintain website and marketing materials as required
* Staying up to date with destinations, travel trends, and supplier updates
* Providing exceptional client support both in person and via phone/email
