We are seeking a proactive and detail‑focused Document Controller to join our Engineering Team, located in Broadmeadow. In this role, you will support engineering, project delivery, and operational excellence by ensuring accurate control, maintenance, and storage of engineering documentation.
About Your Role
Key Responsibilities:
Perform administrative and document management tasks including word processing, filing, and records organisation.
Act as a key point of contact for departmental enquiries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and the public.
Support departmental onboarding activities for new employees.
Maintain compliance with record‑keeping processes and document control procedures.
Support continuous improvement by assisting in the review and development of document control processes.
Assist the design team with SAP enquiries including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and document numbering.
Release and lock SAP BOMs in line with project Document Release Notices (DRNs)
About You
You will bring a strong eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work confidently in a fast‑paced, safety‑critical environment.
Skills And Experience
Experience in a safety‑critical environment such as rail, automotive, defence, avionics, or military.
Experience using SAP in a technical or engineering context.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build effective working relationships across all levels.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
High levels of organisation, initiative, and commitment to accuracy.
A collaborative mindset and a passion for supporting continuous improvement.
