Procurement ACT is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director (SOG B) to join our Sourcing, Advice and Supply (SAS) section within the Goods and Services Branch. This is a key leadership role supporting the ACT Government's commitment to delivering high-quality, value-for-money procurement outcomes across a diverse range of goods and services.
As Director, you will lead a team of procurement professionals and oversee a portfolio of complex projects. Working closely with ACT Government directorates, you will provide expert guidance throughout the procurement process—from early planning through to tendering and contract finalisation—ensuring strong client engagement and high-quality outcomes every step of the way.
This role is ideal for a seasoned procurement leader who is customer-focused, acts with integrity, is solutions-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will bring strong emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in procurement practice.

Eligibility/Other Requirements
* Extensive experience in leading procurement professionals
* Public sector procurement experience is desirable
* A Diploma or higher in Procurement and Contracting is highly desirable
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business Administration or Law are desirable

A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies (permanent and temporary) over the next 12 months. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
