Business Development Manager Role

About the Job:
This is an exciting opportunity to drive growth across Air, Sea, and Contract Logistics. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in shaping our competitive position by analysing market trends, competitors, and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Stay ahead of the game by analyzing market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
2. Collaborate with product and procurement teams to align trade lane strategies and achieve business objectives.
3. Develop and implement creative ideas through advertising and promotional campaigns to engage customers and drive sales.
4. Attend sales visits and collaborate with overseas partners to develop new business opportunities and expand our network.
5. Craft and implement trade lane strategies with innovative solutions to meet customer needs and stay ahead of the competition.
6. Build a solid sales pipeline to secure new accounts and nurture existing relationships.
7. Play a key role in preparing and negotiating bids, RFQs, and quotes to ensure successful partnerships.
8. Engage with customers, respond to inquiries, and maintain strong relationships to drive loyalty and retention.
9. Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and reputation.
10. Maintain accurate records in our CRM system, providing valuable insights and sales activities to inform business decisions.
11. Provide regular reports to track progress and success.

Requirements:
1. Solid experience and understanding of the freight forwarding industry.
2. Proven track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
3. Driven, tenacious, and resilient individual with a go-getter attitude.
4. Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills to engage customers and stakeholders.
5. Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities to drive innovation and growth.
