About the role
Black Truck & Ag is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team in Dalby, Queensland for a maternity leave cover. This is a full-time position that will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service for their commercial vehicles.
What you'll be doing
1. Providing professional and courteous customer service to our clients
2. Communicating with customers to understand their service needs and requirements
3. Scheduling and coordinating vehicle servicing and repairs
4. Liaising with our skilled technicians to ensure timely and high-quality work
5. Preparing accurate cost estimates and invoices for customers
6. Maintaining detailed records and documentation
7. Identifying opportunities to upsell additional services and products
8. Ensuring a safe and organised workshop environment
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing role within the automotive industry
2. A minimum of 3-4 years of Service Advisor experience is preferred, but not essential.
3. Experience specifically with commercial vehicles is preferred but not essential
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers
5. Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
6. Proficient in using computerised management and communication systems
7. Knowledge of automotive service and repair processes and procedures
8. A commitment to providing outstanding customer service
9. A valid driver's licence and the ability to operate a forklift would be highly regarded
