Overview
BOC Limited Australia – Legal Counsel
North Ryde (NSW), Australia. The role is flexible for the right candidate, with a mix of in‐person in the office and working from home. Reporting to the Head of Legal – South Pacific, you will provide practical, commercially focused legal advice across BOC Limited and its South Pacific entities, including South Pacific Welding, Elgas Limited and Select Logistics & Transport, supporting operations across Australia and New Zealand.
Responsibilities
* Deliver hands-on legal advice across commercial, procurement and strategic matters
* Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, deeds and NDAs
* Identify, assess and manage legal risk across business activities
* Partner with, influence and coach stakeholders on legal and compliance matters
* Support the implementation and maintenance of legal compliance frameworks, policies and training
Qualifications
* Fully qualified lawyer or solicitor with a minimum of 1 year and up to 6 years' post-admission experience
* Strong experience in commercial contracts across sales and procurement; M&A exposure highly regarded
* Solid commercial judgement with a practical, solutions-focused approach
* Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable advice
* Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, operational business environment
* Knowledge of competition and consumer law is desirable
