About the role
The Manager Financial Compliance manages the financial compliance functions of West Moreton Health including month end, Tridata, year-end, asset accounting and financial compliance.
**The key responsibilities of the role are**:
- Manage the preparation of general purpose financial statements in line with relevant legislation and accounting standards and coordinate external audit within specified deadlines.
- Manage West Moreton Health's month end accounting process and assist with preparation of the monthly Board Performance report within specified deadlines.
- Manage the preparation and submission of the quarterly and annual Tridata reporting for whole-of-government within the specified requirements.
- Maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring that all accounts are reconciled monthly with appropriate support and discrepancies investigated accordingly.
- Manage the asset accounting function including, fixed asset register, annual land & building revaluations, iPharmacy reconciliation, fixed asset stocktakes, Work In Progress (WIP).
About you
- Ability to plan, lead and manage a team and achieve desired outcomes within specified deadlines and approved resource allocations.
- Ability to investigate and provide practical recommendations to the Director Financial Compliance and operational staff in relation to financial accounting and administration matters which enhance efficiency, effectiveness and quality of financial management and administration and contribute to enhanced financial outcomes. High level of systems skills in SAP S/4HANA
- High level of oral and written communication skills including the ability to lead, persuade, implement, change and liaise, advise and interact with staff at all levels and external stakeholders including audit.

**Mandatory Requirements**:
- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO.12/21and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
