About Your Role
Reporting directly to the Supervisor – Central Workshop, you will contribute to our Safe, Stable and Sustainable vision by:
* Performing all tasks in line with site health, safety, environmental and community policies, systems and procedures
* Responding to priority breakdowns and carrying out on‐site service and repair work on machinery
* Diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, while identifying and recommending improvement opportunities
* Ordering parts and accurately maintaining service and maintenance records
* Conducting self‐inspections and taking personal accountability for safe work practices, quality workmanship and efficiency
* Collaborating and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders and customers
* Working safely both independently and within a team environment
What You Will Bring
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
* A genuine commitment to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your team
* Trade qualifications as a Diesel Fitter, with heavy industry experience highly regarded
* Strong diagnostic and fault‐finding skills, with the ability to resolve complex mechanical issues
* A proactive approach to safety, continuous improvement and teamwork
* The capability to work independently in field environments while also contributing effectively within a team
* Auto‐electrical knowledge or skills (advantageous but not essential)
