Position Vacant: English/Humanities Teacher & Coordinator of English
We are seeking an inspiring and highly motivated English/Humanities Teacher & Coordinator of English to join our team as we enter our third year as a new and growing school. This dual role provides an exceptional opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to play a foundational part in shaping a rich culture of literacy, critical thinking and academic excellence across the secondary school.
About the Role
* Teach English and Humanities with engaging, evidence-informed practice
* Provide leadership for the English learning area, including curriculum development and assessment design
* Champion reading, writing, speaking and critical literacy across the school
* Support, mentor and collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and high-quality teaching and learning in English
* Contribute to the planning and direction of whole-school literacy initiatives, events and enrichment opportunities (e.g., debating, writing workshops, book clubs)
About You
* Passionate about English, literacy and the Humanities, and the role they play in shaping reflective, informed young people
* Excited by the opportunity to build programs, traditions and academic culture in a developing school environment
* Confident in leading curriculum development and supporting colleagues professionally
* Highly organised, flexible and comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving context
* Registered (or eligible for registration) to teach, with secondary experience in English essential and Humanities experience highly regarded
