This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time, with the possibility of extension(s) and / or permanency.

About The OPPORTUNITY
As part of the multidisciplinary team and in collaboration with the Clinical Midwife Consultant, Clinical Midwife Specialists and Regional Nurse Educators; plans, implements and evaluates education and training relevant to the clinical practice of the midwifery cohort. Is responsible for the orientation and midwifery development support of midwives and other staff supporting maternity care within the region (including nurses and assistants in nursing / midwifery); and in particular newly qualified and junior midwives. Provides support and clinical facilitation for undergraduate and postgraduate midwives in line with education institution agreements.
To be successful in this role, you will have…
* Advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the practice setting / speciality.
* High level communication and interpersonal skills; including negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
* An ability to plan, facilitate and deliver clinically situated education and training incorporating adult learning principles; including validation of practical skills.
* Computer skills (including the ability to teach others) across clinical systems which contribute to the provision of quality care and with systems that support learning.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at eligible locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months. Please refer to the WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program website for eligibility criteria.
