You will bring expertise, maturity, and strong time management and organisational skills.Successful candidates will provide support to NDIS participants living in areas including Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Laurieton, Harrington, Crescent Head, Southwest Rocks, Wauchope, and surrounding areas.We love working in our local community and making a difference in the lives of our participants.
No two days are the same!
You might find us in daycare centres, schools, homes, or on day trips to Kempsey or Camden Haven.
We also host monthly Wellness Walks along the Port Macquarie break wall — supporting our regional area!You will support vulnerable community members by acting as an advocate and role model.
Your daily responsibilities will include:Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify needs through assessment and person-centred planning.Evaluating, developing, and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support environment.Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies using a positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminating restrictive practices, in home and community settings.Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions, and strengths.Building the knowledge, capacity, and strengths of those supporting participants, including family, carers, and friends.Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.We support you as you support many!
