The Opportunity The Project Manager will coordinate the Aboriginal Precision Medicine project in NSW as part of the Australian Alliance for Indigenous Genomics (ALIGN). This Aboriginal-led program will drive culturally safe and community-informed precision medicine initiatives across the state. As a key facilitator in this space, you will: Build and maintain strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal Medical Services, communities, NSW Health, and governance bodies. Coordinate the co-design, development and implementation of a state-wide Aboriginal Precision Medicine Program. Lead capacity building activities including community engagement, educational resource development and workforce training. Support governance, ethics, and evaluation processes ensuring cultural and scientific integrity. Contribute to Indigenous genomics policy, advocacy, and knowledge translation efforts. This is a full-time, 3-year contract position. About You You are a skilled and collaborative project manager with experience working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and research, particularly within NSW. You have a strong commitment to Indigenous leadership, cultural safety, and community engagement. You will bring the following skills and experience: Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, research or health promotion (preferably in genomics or precision medicine). Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and work effectively with Aboriginal communities. Skills in co-design, program development, implementation, and evaluation. Excellent communication, leadership and report writing skills. Qualifications in public health, health promotion, or equivalent experience. Desirable: Experience working in or knowledge of the genomics field. Established networks within the Aboriginal health sector in NSW.
