About the Opportunity
We have an exciting and diverse opportunity for a Rehabilitation Consultant from an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Exercise Physiologist, Rehabilitation Counsellor or Psychologist discipline to join our growing team on a contractor basis. You must have your own proprietary limited ABN. You will assist individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client‐centered approach, focusing on health and well‐being. You'll be managing a portfolio of cases including workers compensation, Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB) and workplace health & safety assessments.
Responsibilities
* Support clients through their rehabilitation journey and guide them through the process.
* Assist individuals to recover from injury and return to work through a client‐centered approach, focusing on health and well‐being.
* Manage a portfolio of cases including Workcover TAS and MAIB claims.
* Undertake assessments such as initial needs assessments, worksite assessments, and vocational assessments.
* Collaborate and liaise with employers, medical and other allied health professionals.
* Identify barriers preventing clients from returning to work.
* Document case notes as part of your reporting, applying your clinical judgement to support and guide your clients.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
* Establish and uphold a standard of excellence while driving regional growth.
Requirements
* At least 3 years of occupational rehabilitation consulting experience.
* Workcover TAS legislative knowledge.
* Injury Management Coordinator (IMC) registration with WorkSafe Tasmania qualification preferred but not essential.
* University degree in Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Counselling or Psychology, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiologist.
* AHPRA/ASORC/ESSA accreditation and a passion for helping people.
* Full driver's licence and access to a car.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
