Due to our continued growth, we are looking to add an Electrical Engineer to our Queanbeyan East Office based team.
Role Overview
* Adhere to our core values of honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct in every aspect of your work.
* Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, assisting with system performance, product queries, and troubleshooting.
* Manage grid connection applications and approvals, liaising with DNSPs and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
* Assist with system design and documentation using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications.
* Conduct research into emerging technologies, products, and regulatory changes within the renewable energy sector.
* Support the sales and operations teams with technical expertise to ensure optimal system design and customer outcomes.
* Review and interpret technical data sheets, standards, and network requirements to ensure compliant and efficient system designs.
* Collaborate with installers, electricians, and project managers to ensure smooth project delivery from design through to commissioning.
* Contribute to process improvements, helping refine workflows across engineering, approvals, and technical support functions.
Skills and Qualities
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, with knowledge of solar and battery systems highly regarded.
* Experience with grid connection processes and DNSP requirements is advantageous.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD) for electrical layouts and system design.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and team members.
* Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
* Experience in the renewable energy sector is beneficial but not essential.
