About Hearing Loss Assessment and Treatment
We're seeking a highly skilled Audiologist/Audiometrist to join our team.
Job Description:
As an Audiologist/Audiometrist, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing the extent of client hearing loss using various techniques, including audiometric tests. You will report results of assessments and tests in writing and make referrals to medical practitioners as needed.
Responsibilities:
* Recommending solutions to clients with hearing impairment, including amplification, implantable devices, medical interventions, and assistive listening devices, and providing aural rehabilitation programs
* Providing counseling, advice, and information to clients and families as part of overall treatment
* Assisting with the development and management of noise control and hearing conservation strategies
* Providing treatment and management of hearing and communication disorders that may be age-related, part of a disability, or acquired as a result of injury or disease
Requirements:
* University Audiology qualification or TAFE Audiometry Qualification
* Full membership of AudA or ACAud and current QP number
* Solid audiological skills and knowledge
* Excellent levels of customer care and service, and a passion for delivering an amazing client experience
* Ability to learn and understand new software with training
* Proven ability to achieve KPI's
* Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
* Commitment to continued professional development
* Good team working skills
* Ability to network with GP's and other allied health professionals
