Support Worker Job Description
Guaranteed hours and shifts are available for Support Workers in this role.
* Award rate $31.64 per hour + Super + Paid KM's + Phone Allowance
This job involves working as a Support Worker, providing care and assistance to our customers in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have 3 months or more experience as a support or care worker including Personal Care Skills OR be willing to learn personal care skills but don't have a Certification in Aged Care or Individual Support.
Responsibilities:
* Domestic Assistance: Assist our Customers in cleaning their home, so they have a safe and beautiful place to live
* Helping our customers with meal preparation and shopping
* Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
* Personal care services (once trained), including getting them up, showered and dressed for the day, medication management, assisting with mobility and therapy goals
* Providing respite and emotional support
* Social support and transport to appointments
* Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications and skills are required:
* Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role including experience with personal care
* You care about assisting our aged community so they can live independently at home for longer.
* You have a current P2 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
* You don't sweat the small stuff; sometimes your customer will be having a bad day or traffic delays you. You know not to take this personally and to shake it off before your next customer.
