About the Role and You Due to an impending retirement, there is an upcoming vacancy for a General Manager, Human Resources. Overseeing a team of six that consists of the areas of risk, safety, learning and development, employee relations, recruitment and general HR advice, the successful candidate will have involvement at both the strategic and operational level. This multi-faceted position will suit someone who has experience in the following areas: HR Strategy Development, Organisational Design, Change Management, Remuneration and Benefits, Employee/Industrial Relations, Stakeholder Engagement, Risk Management, Safety and broader leadership at a senior level. Operating as part of a high-performing ELT, you will be expected to take an enterprise-level approach to the position balancing the best interests of the broader RNA with the unique demands of the operational business units. For example, in the leadup to Ekka there is a requirement to continue to meet the demands of the business-as-usual functions while building HR & Risk functions the large and complex Ekka event. You will be a seasoned HR leader who enjoys building and delivering strategies while also being happy to get involved in the operational aspects when required. Your experience will be in a mid-sized but complex business. You will be able to demonstrate a commercial mindset along with the ability to build a culture that is inclusive and celebrates high performance. This role will require someone comfortable with operating in a flexible environment who is adept in translating relevant legislative requirements into workable solutions for the RNA.
