At Amity Lawyers, we support individuals, families, and businesses in navigating the Australian immigration process with clarity and confidence. As our practice continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Immigration Lawyer or Registered Migration Agent (RMA) with at least 3 years of migration case management experience to join our team.
This role involves providing high-quality migration advice and managing a broad range of visa matters, including employer-sponsored, skilled, partner, and family visas, as well as assisting with more complex matters such as visa refusals and cancellations, merits review, and court proceedings.
We are looking for a motivated, client-focused professional who is committed to delivering practical, compliant, and outcome-driven migration solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct client interviews to provide accurate, strategic advice on visa options and migration pathways
* Prepare and manage Skills Assessments, Sponsorships, Nominations, and Visa Applications
* Manage a diverse caseload efficiently while maintaining compliance and professional standards
* Build and maintain strong client relationships through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and email communication
* Monitor legislative, regulatory, and procedural changes and ensure timely updates to affected clients and matters
Requirements
* A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification
* For lawyers: a current Australian practising certificate
* For migration agents: current MARA registration
* Minimum 3 years of experience in immigration law or migration practice
* Strong knowledge of a range of visa subclasses, including skilled and employer sponsorships, family type visas, visa cancellations, ART appeals, and judicial review matters
* Demonstrated experience in obtaining client instructions, conducting client meetings, and building strong, trusting relationships to ensure a smooth and positive client experience throughout the engagement.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and confidently via phone and email with a diverse client base.
* A people-oriented approach with a genuine interest in sharing migration knowledge and tailoring communication to suit both subject-matter experts and clients.
* Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload effectively and meet agreed performance targets and KPIs while maintaining high standards of client service.
* A compassionate and empathetic approach when working with clients, with the ability to understand and respond sensitively to individual circumstances.
* Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism, with a commitment to delivering high-quality client service in a client-facing environment.
* Bilingual skills are not essential, but will be considered a strong advantage

* Competitive salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per annum + Super (commensurate with experience)
