Ashurst Advance Reach is the firm's dedicated flexible legal resourcing platform which provides the firm's clients and Practice Groups within the firm with access to a high quality talent pool of lawyers and paralegals. We understand that our clients need access to highly qualified lawyers and paralegals, often at short notice and/or for short periods, whether that be to meet internal client demands, backfill leave, provide cover during recruitment or to assist with specialised projects. We deliver a seamless, fast and trusted solution to these issues.
Ashurst Reach is an integral part of the firm's NewLaw division, Ashurst Advance. Our focus is solving our clients' business problems through optimal efficiency, cost effectiveness and digitally innovative legal service delivery.
**The Opportunity**:
- 5 month contract
- Full-time (4 days will be considered)
- Sydney based - you will work on a hybrid basis with 1-2 days in the office
- This is an opportunity to use your experience in commercial contracts with a well-established Commercial legal team
**Skills and Experience needed**:
- You will be confident dealing with a wide range of commercial contracts and have a proven track record from an in-house perspective or in private practice
- You are able to lead and manage negotiations and draft/amend contracts
- You have strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
- A minimum of 7 years experience
- Experience dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire confidence in your clients as they deal with challenging issues
- A commercial, can do attitude with an ability to integrate into a team and build relationships quickly
- The ability to rapidly understand and adapt to the needs of the business
- A current practising certificate (or the ability to get one immediately)
