Monadelphous are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Maintenance and Industrial Services division, based in our Brisbane Head office Monday to Friday, for the next 8 months. Periodically you will be required to travel to site for short visits. Upon project completion, there may be additional ongoing work available. This high paced position will provide technical expertise across project management, estimating, procurement, contractual correspondence, quality assurance, and internal/external stakeholder management for a program of works.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager to ensure project objectives are met on time with respect to cost, safety and quality.
Work closely with client representatives and deliver to meet their requirements.
Manage the interface between the engineering and project delivery teams to maintain compliance with the specifications, schedules and contract.
Manage and supervise the resolution of technical queries as required.
Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to other members of the engineering team.
Compile schedule, cost, progress and forecast reports for the project; ensuring all schedule reporting requirements are met.
Provide support to the project team and implement best practice on the project.
What you will bring
5+ years' experience working in an on-site project engineering or coordination position for large-scale resources construction/maintenance projects.
Experience building strong, value driven client relationships.
An Australian recognised, tertiary qualification in Engineering or relevant Trade Certificate.
Proven experience in project management.
Strong written and technical skills, with an innovative approach to technical problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
Experience of managing the contractual correspondence across project delivery.
Front end estimating experience working within a bid or tender team for both shutdown and project work.
Well‑developed communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels.
