6-month contract | Federal Government | Hybrid working
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced EL1 Change and Communications Specialist to work within a federal government agency, supporting the delivery of a major IT and business change initiative.
In this role you will design and deliver clear, targeted communication and change activities that support adoption and effective use of new systems and processes. You will work closely with policy, operational, and technical stakeholders to translate complex change into tangible impacts, support governance and help align with overall organisational strategy.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to undertake the following;
* Experience delivering communications and change activities for an IT initiative, including assessing impacts and achieving adoption.
* The ability to identify and define change and communication needs when they are not formally documented, including the ability to elicit information from stakeholders, translate technical change into business impacts, and confirm shared understanding.
* The ability to work in a fast paced, high performance environment with competing priorities, managing timelines and key milestones, supporting executive or board level preparation, and maintaining quality under pressure.

This is a contract opportunity for an initial 6-month period, with the potential for further extensions, based in Canberra with hybrid working (3 days in office / 2 days from home).
