We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Fitter to support various activities related to overhauling hydraulic components for surface and underground equipment. Primary Responsibilities:
As a Hydraulic Fitter, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Stripping, rebuilding, and modifying hydraulic components.
* Testing components for accuracy and troubleshooting any faults.
* Maintaining accurate records of parts used and reporting inadequate stock levels.
* Providing assistance to team members and mentoring Apprentice Fitters.
* Ensuring quality and continuous improvement in all tasks.
Essential Position Requirements:
To qualify for this role, you must have:
* Solid knowledge of hydraulic function and the ability to read hydraulic circuits and interpret schematic drawings.
* Experience in rebuilding and modifying mechanical components.
* Proficiency in machining operations, including lathe and mill operation, and fabrication skills.
* Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
* Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering and a current manual driver's license.
* Forklift License and Certificate IV in Fluid Power (desirable).
* Strong planning, organizational, communication, and time management skills.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
