**What you'll be doing**
The role will provide ISLHD Capital Works projects with strategic advice, expertise in communications, engagement and liaison with various stakeholders. The Project Communications and Engagement Officer is responsible for the development, management and implementation of stakeholder communications and engagement for major capital works projects across the LHD. The role will also provide advice to the Project Director and Project Manager of capital works developments to support project planning and delivery.
Responsible during all phases of capital works projects for:
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- Development and implementation of key messages and communications channels (internal and external stakeholders)
- Media and Ministerial relations and issues management.
On a day-to-day basis, the Officer will be managed by the ISLHD Media and Communications Manager but will also maintain a close working relationship with project teams, Health Infrastructure communications team and the Executive Project Director.

**Talent Pool**

Selection Criteria
- Qualifications or equivalent and senior level experience in government relations, community relations, journalism or similar.
- Demonstrated relevant experience in developing, managing and implementing effective communications strategies.
- Experience in strategic issues management and stakeholder engagement.
- High level written communication skills and experience in producing key written communications including communication strategies and plans, briefing notes, media releases and newsletters.
- Demonstrated effective liaison and communication with a wide range of stakeholders from senior executive and Government officers to members of the public.
- Experience in risk management as it relates to stakeholder management and communications, and formulation and management of appropriate responses.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
