Brunel Defence is partnering with a leading global defence shipbuilder and sovereign maritime capability provider to appoint a Supply Support Lead to support the delivery of critical naval shipbuilding programs for the Australian Defence Force.

This organisation is a recognised strategic shipbuilder delivering complex vessel design, construction, and sustainment programs across Australia and internationally. With long-term defence agreements in place and a strong pipeline of future programs, this role presents an opportunity to contribute to nationally significant projects that strengthen Australia's sovereign defence capability.

This position will play a key leadership role within the Integrated Product Support (IPS) function, ensuring effective supply support, provisioning, and sustainment planning across complex maritime defence platforms.

The Opportunity

As the Supply Support Lead, you will be responsible for leading supply support activities across the full lifecycle of naval platforms, ensuring provisioning, sparing, and inventory strategies are aligned with operational and sustainment requirements.

You will lead a team of analysts and equipage specialists, integrating supply support with engineering, maintenance, and logistics systems to ensure availability, reliability, and lifecycle cost effectiveness of critical defence assets.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead supply support planning, provisioning, and sustainment activities across defence programs
* Oversee vessel equipage, outfitting, and provisioning to ensure operational readiness
* Integrate supply support elements with IPS frameworks, ERP systems, and technical data environments
* Manage cataloguing, codification, provisioning data, and warehouse support processes
* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including obsolescence, warranty, and sustainment risks
* Ensure provisioning and sustainment artefacts are developed in line with Defence standards
* Lead, mentor, and develop supply support analysts and equipage personnel
* Support cost-effective sustainment strategies aligned with long-term defence program objectives
* Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and program stakeholders to ensure integrated support outcomes

Skills and Experience

Essential

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Maritime Operations, or related discipline
* Minimum 8 years' experience in Integrated Product Support (IPS) or Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) supply support within complex programs
* Strong experience in provisioning, sparing, inventory management, and sustainment planning
* Proven experience working within structured Defence logistics and support frameworks
* Experience with Logistic Support Analysis in accordance with DEF(AUST) standards or equivalent
* Ability to obtain or currently hold a Baseline Australian Government Security Clearance

Desirable

* Experience within maritime, defence, aerospace, or highly regulated engineering environments
* Knowledge of ASDEFCON contracting environments and sustainment frameworks
* Experience integrating supply support with ERP, PLM, or sustainment management systems
* Experience leading supply support or logistics teams
* Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional coordination capability
