System Management and Monitoring Technician
This role involves performing various tasks related to system management, monitoring, control, and patching. The successful candidate will be required to:
1. Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify, develop, document, and validate system management, patching, and monitoring processes.
2. Assist stakeholders in collecting and evaluating data for consistency, completeness, and accuracy.
3. Generate regular reports on system status and observations.
4. Provide subject matter expertise on system management, control, monitoring, and patching matters.
5. Support the development of system management, patching, and monitoring processes.
6. Review and recommend improvements to existing processes.
7. Maintain the quality, integrity, and security of data repositories and alert processes.
8. Create and manage artefacts for system or business owners.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in an ICT discipline or equivalent, or significant industry experience.
* Demonstrated experience managing configuration data and configuration.
* Experience as an administrator of a Patching, Monitoring database.
* Ability to work independently with broad direction.
* Demonstrated technical understanding and ability to quickly learn new business domains and technical applications.
* Experience in delivering software applications in test and deployment.
* Familiarity with patching products such as Tanium.
* Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting products like Icinga, Kafka, Grafana, Prometheus, and Elasticsearch.
* Understanding of Windows, Linux, appliances, and application patching.
* Familiarity with vulnerability scanning systems like Tenable.
