Creative Road Public Art Project Coordinator

Role Description
Position Title: Public Art Project Coordinator
Reports To: Director
Contract Type: Full-time (5 days/week)
Workplace: Employees are required to work from our office in Byron Bay NSW
Commencement: September–October 2025
Contract Duration: 12 months with potential renewal
Key Responsibilities
- Working under the direction of Creative Road's Director and Senior Curator and in collaboration with the Studio Manager
- Liaising with clients, artists, and suppliers
- Coordinating artwork fabrication and installation (inc. WHS documentation)
- Preparing project timelines and schedules (MS Project)
- Preparing and tracking project budgets and payments (MS Excel)
- Creating presentation materials and artwork documentation (Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Briefing creative contractors such as renderers, designers, fabricators and installers
- - Organising and maintaining project files on cloud storage systems
- Supporting EOIs, tenders, and artwork concept proposals
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including handling multiple priorities
- Spatial and/or urban design background, with understanding of public space contexts
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work within teams, under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Experience with architectural and technical drawings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience using Microsoft Project
- PC User + Driver's License
