Position Description
The Opportunity
St Martin's Catholic Primary School is seeking a dynamic OSHC & Vacation Care Assistant Director who can efficiently support and work with the OSHC Director to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and engagement of the children within our service of 135 spaces. This position promotes a positive, safe and inclusive environment and requires no guidance during the performance of their work.

Key responsibilities include:
* Actively support, promote and contribute to the Catholic Identity, faith formation and OSHC charism of our school
* Oversee and lead staff to implement a recreation and leisure program based upon recognised My Time, Our Place Framework V2 (OSHC/Vacation Care) and supervise the quality, development, implementation and evaluation of programs and routines
* Ensure the timely preparation, distribution, and supervision of staff rosters consistent with child: staff ratio requirements.
* Work with all staff to observe, support and extend children's participation in the program including planning for and facilitating the inclusion of children with additional needs.
* Lead discussion on reflective practice and continuous improvement to achieve, maintain and/or exceed the National Quality Standard. This includes sharing information, knowledge and expertise on practice, policy developments and community changes that may impact on the service.
* Manage the purchase, provision, preparation, and storage of nutritious food as per the Healthy Eating Guidelines – Right Bite and within regulated hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a calm, approachable manner, and the ability to foster positive, respectful relationships across the school community.
This role requires a highly organised and proactive individual who can confidently manage competing priorities with discretion and sound judgement. They will exhibit integrity, empathy, and professionalism when supporting children, families, and staff, and will be committed to creating and maintaining a welcoming, children-centred environment.
A strong alignment with the values of the school, along with reliability and a high standard of professionalism, is essential to success in this role.

* Current Working with Children Check
* Full Day (7 hour) Responding to Abuse & Neglect Training certificate
* RRHAN-EC update certificate
* First Aid Training Certificate
