Our client is a commercial construction company who have forged a reputation for delivering high quality high rise residential projects across the South East Queensland and greater Sydney areas.
They area well known for delivering high rise projects ranging from $50m - $200m and have the appetite to continue to grow and as a result of some exciting market opportunities they are currently looking to appoint a new Queensland Estimating Manager to lead their established team. You will have the full support of the Qld business unit behind you and you will have the resources at hand to give your team every chance of success.
In order to be successful in your application and your role you will have the ability to lead and manage the estimating team and also be able to mentor the next generation of talent. The business likes to engage in an ECI process your ability to manage the pre-construction phase will be highly regarded.
Key to your success will be your ability to present information and opportunities to the senior management team as well as other key stake holders therefor a high level of communication is essential.
The ideal candidate will have exposure to the high rise residential construction sector.
To be successful within this position you will need to have the following:
* A bachelor degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Construction Management (preferable but not essential)
* Ability to work with estimating programs
* Experience working with a recognisable construction company on mid-large projects
* Understanding of construction contracts, design and the resultant cost implications
* Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the external and internal business environment
