*The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Clinical Response Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Responsible for the monitoring of the Recognition of Deterioration Dashboard and respond to identified patient deterioration
Escalate patient deterioration or patients of concern and document all interventions and required education
Provide education and support to nursing staff to develop skills and proficiency / competency in IV cannulation
Clinically take direction from the Clinical Team Coordinator
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
