The salary for this position is $33.82 per hour, plus reimbursement of $0.96 per KM.

About this role

We are looking for dedicated Qualified Home Care Workers to join our team of compassionate professionals. This role involves assisting elderly clients to live safely and independently in their own homes while promoting their well-being and autonomy.


Home Care Workers in this position work independently, traveling from one client to another and are fully supported by a skilled team that includes supportive Team Leaders and Senior Home Care Workers who guide and assist field staff when working autonomously. This role offers variety, meaningful connections, and the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others every day.

Our clients are at the heart of everything we do. To ensure they receive the highest standard of care, your reliability is crucial for maintaining regular shifts and providing coverage during both planned and unexpected absences.


Key responsibilities:

* Support clients with daily activities such as showering, dressing, and toileting.
* Assist clients with their medication routines, ensuring adherence to prescribed regimens.
* Help with household tasks, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
* Provide companionship, assist with social outings, and support clients in engaging with their communities.
* Contribute to the development and review of individualized care plans, ensuring they meet clients' needs and preferences.

What you can bring to the team

We are looking for someone who is compassionate and understanding, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our aging population. You're empathetic, dependable, and comfortable working independently. You're looking for a meaningful role where you can support others and be part of a trusted team.

To be suitable for the position, ideally you have -

* A current driver's license and a reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for work purposes are essential for this role. (Reimbursement of $0.96 per KM is provided for use of own vehicle)
* The ability to use a smart phone and basic apps
* Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)


Certificates

* Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
* Assist clients with medication Certificate - HLTHPS006


Possess or willingness to obtain:

* Up-to-date First Aid and CPR Certification
* A current National Police Certificate.
