Primary Responsibilities
* Perform in-depth power system studies for energy infrastructure projects, working in partnership with developers, investors, Network Service Providers (NSPs), and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO).
* Deliver creative technical solutions to grid connection challenges, including weak grid conditions and network congestion.
* Oversee projects through all stages—from application to registration, energisation, and commissioning—ensuring alignment with NSP and AEMO requirements.
* Provide expert advice on upgrades or equipment replacement for operational synchronous generation assets.
* Ensure high-quality project execution in line with company standards, industry regulations, and legal obligations.
* Identify opportunities for ongoing project work and contribute to the company's growth pipeline.
* Foster internal collaboration, engage in knowledge-sharing, and benefit from mentoring opportunities.
* Cultivate and maintain strong external relationships to aid in business development and client retention.
About You
You will be a strong candidate for this position if you possess:
* A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
* Demonstrated project delivery experience, including adherence to technical standards, timeframes, and effective stakeholder engagement.
* Excellent organisational abilities, adaptability, and a practical, results-focused mindset.
* Hands‐on experience with power systems modelling tools such as PSS/E, PowerFactory, or PSCAD. Utility experience or previous consultancy background is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—with the capability to meet key performance indicators and prepare detailed reports.
* Solid data management skills, including the use of spreadsheets and technical documentation.
* A collaborative attitude and advanced problem-solving capabilities.
