Support Worker in Aged Care Job Description
At Just Better Care, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Cairns. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to our customers in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Personal care: assisting with showering, dressing, grooming, and administering medication
* Domestic assistance: performing light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation tasks
* Social support/transportation: accompanying customers to social activities, shopping/groceries, and medical appointments
* Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
* Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
* Participating in staff meetings and attending training sessions as required
Requirements:
* Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care
* Assist With Medications Certificate (HLTHPS006)
* Current CPR/First Aid Certificate
* Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
* Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* Reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle
* Smartphone with internet access
