The Role
As a labourer operator, you will form an integral part of our team to carry out works on our directional drilling projects in the areas of Gravity Sewer, Recycled Water and Telecommunications and Electrical including SA Water and Tier 1 Infrastructure Projects. As an Operator, you will be responsible for bore tracking and operation of Vermeer Drill Rigs as well as having a solid understanding of the Drill Rig set up and tooling selection. You will bring knowledge of drill muds, a mechanical mindset to understand the maintenance of the Drill Rig, sound communication skills including via two-way radio and a strong commitment to safety. Labourers may also be responsible for drilling duties such as preparing the HDPE for pullback, drill mud mixing, tool changes, setup and calibration of the drill head.
This role includes continuous opportunities to gain new tickets, licenses, and exposure to a wide variety of projects.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Current HR Driver's License
* White Card
* Experience on an Excavator or Vacuum Truck Operations is desirable
* HDD RII highly desirable
* Working Safely at Heights is desirable but not essential
* Experience with Directional Drilling, or willingness to learn
* Availability and willingness to work day shift, night shift, overtime and weekend work as required
