**About our Opportunity**
Our Stapylton manufacturing site currently has an exciting opportunity for an EHS & RTW (Return To Work) Coordinator. In this role, you will support the operational implementation of JELD-WEN's global and regional EHS requirements and will be responsible for facilitating and influencing the active engagement of managers in the research, development and implementation planning of safety and other related programs to meet regional business plans and corporate goals. You will provide specialist EHS advice contributing to the development and continuous improvement of proactive safety culture across the site of 120 employees.
You will partner with colleagues at all levels to understand key safety risks and provide consistent safety direction and coaching. By developing strong relationships with our leaders and team members, you will drive safety initiatives and support the continuous improvement of our culture and approach to safety.
You'll also have accountability for the following:
- assisting in the development and implementation of EHS standards, safe work instructions/ operating procedures (with support from the engineering team) and other relevant safety documentation
- implementing and monitoring safety regulatory and awareness policies and education training programs
- leading continued performance/ utilisation of the 'My EHS' software system
- managing the local completion of internal/external audits
- conducting toolbox talks, monthly site safety meetings and site inductions
- coordinating weekly on-site physio appointments
- managing return to work processes onsite, including insurer and treating doctor/treater liaison
- ensuring compliance with JELD-WEN, federal, state and local government health and safety regulations and requirements. Supporting WHSE National Audit Tool accreditation and ensuring assurance activities meet relevant regulatory requirements.
**About You**
We're looking for a Coordinator who partners, coaches and inspires others to role model best practice safety initiatives and has experience within a manufacturing and distribution environment in doing this. Leveraging your ability to build positive relationships across all levels within an organisation, stakeholder management expertise and your ability to provide clear advice will be a must.
You'll also require the following:
- Cert IV level EHS qualification or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
- current knowledge and understanding of all EHS legislative requirements and ability to interpret legislation, provide advice and enact the Act
- experience communicating strategy, direction and reasoning behind key decisions
- an engaging technical and coaching style
- experience in implementing contemporary EHS management systems
- excellent communication (written and verbal) and reporting skills
- solid organisation and administration experience
