Role Description
This is a casual role. Looking for instructors who can be covers for hens and corporate events nationally. The Pilates Instructor will plan and deliver safe, effective Pilates sessions for individuals and groups, using appropriate modifications and progressions to meet varying fitness levels and abilities. Daily responsibilities include preparing class formats, setting up and maintaining equipment, demonstrating exercises with clear cues, and monitoring clients' form to reduce injury risk. The role also involves conducting client assessments, tracking progress, and collaborating with the team to refine class offerings. The instructor will provide excellent customer service by greeting clients, answering questions, supporting membership retention, and contributing to a welcoming studio environment.
Qualifications
* Strong Pilates instruction skills, including experience designing and leading Pilates classes for diverse fitness levels.
* Experience with group exercise or group fitness facilitation, ensuring safe, engaging, and motivating sessions for multiple participants.
* Background or familiarity with physical therapy, exercise science, or movement-based rehabilitation concepts to support safe modifications and injury-aware programming.
* Customer service and client care skills, including the ability to build rapport, respond to feedback, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.
* Teaching and communication skills to explain techniques clearly, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instruction to different learning styles.
* Relevant Pilates certification (mat) from a recognised training provider
* Current first aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain before starting.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
