The Opportunity
We are currently seeking three Personal Care Workers to join our team at Bracken House Hostel in Dubbo. In this rewarding role, you will make a real difference by supporting residents to live with dignity, independence, and purpose. You will be part of a compassionate team dedicated to providing person-centred care that enhances the daily lives of older Australians.
About the role
* Provide a wide range of person-centred care to support residents' individual needs
* Assist residents with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meals
* Support medication management and wound care (if deemed competent)
* Help residents maintain their independence and continue engaging in meaningful activities
* Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a supportive and safe environment
Training and support will be provided to help you succeed in the role, and we are happy to invest in your professional development.
What You Will Need
* Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or currently working towards)
* A caring and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for supporting the elderly
* Experience in aged care (desirable)
* First Aid Certificate (desirable)
* Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully
* Willingness to work various shifts across a 7-day roster
* A team player with a proactive and flexible approach
