What you’ll be doing:
Play a pivotal role at the heart of District operations, providing administrative support that keeps the Rural Fire Service running smoothly. This role is the backbone of the office, coordinating systems, managing records, supporting meetings, responding to enquiries, and ensuring information flows efficiently across teams.
The ideal candidate is a highly organised and proactive administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. They bring strong clerical and records management skills, sound knowledge of office systems and procedures, and the ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and efficiency. Confident liaising with staff at all levels and engaging respectfully with volunteer members, they demonstrate excellent communication skills and a responsive, customer-focused approach to enquiries. Technologically capable and detail-oriented, they maintain accurate records and produce high-quality correspondence and reports. A collaborative team player, adapt during periods of heightened operational activity, and contribute positively to a volunteer-based emergency service committed to protecting the community.
